I am a cultural strategist, futurist thinker, and master facilitator redefining what it means to plan boldly and live aligned. I am the founder and president of Yancey Consulting (YC), a firm advancing just, equitable, and thriving societies through systems-level strategy, cultural insight, and generational forecasting.

With over two decades of experience advising movements, funders, and institutions across the arts, public policy, and economic equity sectors, I am known for my rare ability to synthesize complexity and design toward vision. My facilitation is both deeply human and rigorously strategic—grounded in collective brilliance, deep listening, and dynamic engagement.

I have redefined strategic planning as “the art of moving toward the dream in a way that aligns with your values and doesn’t deplete your spirit or resources.” This framework powers my graduate course at Yale University’s David Geffen School of Drama, where I teach Dream Planning. I am also co-founder of The We’s Match, supporting underestimated women entrepreneurs, and creator of THE DASH, a luxury three-day excavation retreat guiding people to name what they truly want and build two-year plans to manifest it.

My writing has been published by Amazon, Medium, Grantmakers in the Arts, Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, and in the University of Arkansas’s Transforming the Built & Broken Environment journal, where I explore liberatory tensions in strategic design from the perspective of a Black woman cultural strategist.

I reside in New York while traveling the world to amplify bold dreaming and strategic liberation.

Best qualities: active listener, strategist, activist, loyal friend, mentor, forever dancer, and entrepreneur
